Job Title: District Mobilizer

Reports To: Project Coordinator

Compensation:- INR 18,000- 25,000

Summary

The District Mobilizer is responsible for identifying and preventing child labor and trafficking in villages. This includes developing and implementing awareness-raising programs, conducting raids in coordination with the labor department and other officials, and submitting case reports at the end of each month.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Visit villages to identify child labor and trafficking.
  • Create sources in villages that can provide information about child labor and trafficking.
  • Investigate and report on cases of child labor and trafficking.
  • Conduct raids in coordination with the labor department and other officials.
  • Develop and implement awareness-raising programs about child labor and trafficking.
  • Submit case reports at the end of each month.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10+2.
  • Two years of experience working with children and families in a social service setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information

  • This position may require travel to rural areas.
  • The organization has a zero-tolerance policy for child abuse and exploitation.


Job Duties

Visiting Village and identify child labor/trafficking

  • Visit villages on a regular basis to identify children who may be at risk of child labor or trafficking.
  • Look for signs of child labor and trafficking, such as children working long hours in dangerous or unhealthy conditions, children who are isolated from their families, or children who are forced to work to pay off debts.
  • Talk to children, families, and community members to learn more about the problem of child labor and trafficking in the village.

Create Some source in villages that can give information about such events of child trafficking/labor

  • Identify and recruit trusted individuals in the village who can provide information about child labor and trafficking.
  • These individuals may be teachers, religious leaders, community elders, or other people who are respected and have a good understanding of the village.
  • Develop a system for communicating with these individuals and receiving information from them.

Find Cases of child labor/trafficking

  • Investigate any suspected cases of child labor or trafficking.
  • This may involve talking to the child, the child’s family, and other witnesses.
  • Gather evidence to support the case.
  • Report the case to the appropriate authorities.

Creating awareness about child labor/trafficking

  • Develop and implement awareness-raising programs about child labor and trafficking.
  • These programs may target children, families, community members, or government officials.
  • Use a variety of methods to raise awareness, such as workshops, seminars, and educational materials.

Do raid for child labor in coordination with labor department and respective officials

  • Coordinate with the labor department and other officials to conduct raids on suspected businesses and workplaces where child labor or trafficking may be occurring.
  • During the raids, identify and rescue any children who are victims of child labor or trafficking.
  • Provide support to the children and their families.

Submit a case report by the end of each month

  • At the end of each month, submit a case report to the Project Manager.
  • The report should include information about all of the cases of child labor and trafficking that were investigated and reported during the month.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

  • May be required to travel to rural areas.
  • May be required to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two years of experience working in a social service sectors.
  • Experience working with law enforcement and other government agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
